![]() To be able to craft, you also need to know which crafting recipes are available in the first place. Minetest Game and other games and many mods make extensive use of the group system, understanding it is crucial to craft efficiently. See #Crafting recipes using groups for a detailed example. If a recipe has multiple slots which require the same group, this does not mean that you have to place the same item in all of these slots. Input items can be either concrete items (for example, Wooden Planks) or an item that is member of a group (for example, the wood group, a group where Wooden Planks and Junglewood Planks are members). It’s also possible that the inventory menu does not have a crafting grid.Ī crafting recipe consists of at least one input item and exactly one stack of output items. Mods and Minetest games may add several crafting grids in various places, not just the inventory. ![]() It can be accessed through the inventory menu and it has a size of 3×3 slots. Minetest Game has only one crafting grid. The player’s built-in 3×3 crafting grid (left). You can’t place items on an output slot, however. So a crafting grid found in your inventory menu can be used/abused as an extension of the player inventory. Crafting generally takes no time and you can use the resulting items immediately.Ĭrafting grids generally work like inventories. Click on the output slot with the middle mouse button to make this craft up to ten times (depending on how much items are left in the crafting grid). The needed items in the crafting grid will be used up. Click on this symbol with the left mouse button to make this craft once. Next to a crafting grid there is one output slot, in which the craft appears if you arranged the items in a valid way. To craft, the items have to be arranged somehow in the crafting grid (see “Input and output”). A crafting grid consists of a number of inventory slots and you can place and move and remove items from it like you can with an inventory. To be able to craft anything at all, you need a crafting grid. The rules explained here are true for basically all mods. Technic isn't in the base MeseCraft game, though perhaps your server has added it.This section explains the basics of crafting in a very general way. :)Įdit: Yeah, I just did a bit of text searching, and I think the only mod that has radiation armor is technic. Just in case you wanted to get creative and leave a little surprise for other players that might come that way. So if you've found a large pocket of highly radioactive materials you could mine it out by building a protective wall around yourself as you go.Īgain assuming the default are in place, coal and diamond blocks amplify the radiation damage coming through it by a factor of four. Stone nodes (edit: as in nodes belonging to the "stone" group, not just stone itself - cobble, brick, those work too) halve the damage with each node that the radiation has to pass through and metal blocks reduce it to one tenth with each node. ![]() ![]() I should take a look at the code and see if there's any new tricks I can add to it.Īssuming the defaults are still in place, various solid nodes will attenuate the radiation and reduce or eliminate the damage. I left a hook in it that could theoretically allow another mod to use to create a protective suit, but I don't think that's been done. I wrote that radiant_damage mod way back in the day. ![]()
